Founded in Tokyo in 2017 by Shohei Kimura — a New York-trained designer with roots at Pleasure Principle — Rice Nine Ten takes the familiar vocabulary of preppy dressing and reshapes it entirely. Oversized polos, chunky knits, and slouchy silhouettes are reimagined with skewed proportions, textured yarns, and unconventional construction. The label maintains a careful balance between tradition and innovation: heritage is the reference point, but destabilization is always the aim.
