Dutch-born and London-based, Luca Hamers is a Central Saint Martins graduate whose work was shaped by a grandfather — a Dutch government futurist — who introduced him to science fiction at age eight. After working with Aitor Throup and on projects with Stone Island, Hamers now runs his own London studio producing garments of extraordinary technical complexity: creature-like silhouettes rendered in military-spec fabrics and magnetic zippers.
